DESCRIPTION

Goodwin Industrial Electric completed the electrical installation for a newly constructed grain export terminal in North Vancouver, BC.

The project required the installation and integration of electrical systems supporting terminal operations, bulk material handling equipment, automation systems, fire protection infrastructure, and supporting facility services. Work was completed within a busy industrial environment while coordinating closely with multiple contractors, operations personnel, and project stakeholders.

Electrical Scope of Work

The grain export terminal required electrical infrastructure to support the movement, handling, storage, and loading of bulk agricultural products.

The scope of work included:

  • Installation of high-voltage and low-voltage electrical services

  • Electrical support for material handling and conveying systems

  • Integration of fire protection systems

  • Installation of automation and control systems

  • Upgrades to lighting and emergency power systems

  • Installation and integration of control panels

  • Testing and commissioning support for terminal operations

The completed electrical installation provided the infrastructure required to support safe and reliable terminal operations.

Bulk Material Handling and Terminal Infrastructure

Grain export terminals rely on a combination of conveying systems, material handling equipment, storage infrastructure, automation systems, and operational controls to move product efficiently through the facility.

Goodwin worked closely with project stakeholders to coordinate the installation and integration of electrical systems supporting terminal operations. Electrical infrastructure was installed to support equipment reliability, operational efficiency, and long-term facility performance.
