DESCRIPTION

Goodwin Industrial Electric was contracted to complete the electrical installation for a major alternate fuel feed system upgrade at an industrial facility in Richmond, BC.

The project involved installing electrical infrastructure to support new fuel handling and delivery equipment, along with the control systems and instrumentation required for automated operation. The upgrade supported the installation of infrastructure required for alternative fuel handling and delivery within a large industrial processing facility.

This was Goodwin's second alternate fuel project in the region and required extensive coordination across a large industrial site with demanding logistical and construction requirements.

Electrical Scope of Work

The alternate fuel feed system required the installation and integration of electrical systems supporting fuel handling, process control, and automated operation.

The scope of work included:

  • Installation of high-voltage and low-voltage power distribution systems

  • Electrical infrastructure for fuel handling and delivery equipment

  • Integration of control systems and instrumentation

  • Installation of power, control, and communication wiring

  • Coordination with mechanical and structural contractors throughout construction

  • Testing and commissioning support for system startup

The completed installation provided the electrical infrastructure necessary to support reliable operation of the alternate fuel feed system and associated process equipment.

Control Systems and Infrastructure Integration

A key component of the project involved integrating electrical systems with automated fuel handling equipment and process controls.

Goodwin worked closely with project stakeholders to coordinate power distribution, instrumentation, control systems, and field equipment installation. Electrical systems were integrated with process equipment to support safe and efficient operation while meeting project performance requirements.
